Coeliac Disease Research
One area of research within the Health Services Research Unit is the investigation of people’s experiences of coeliac disease. Recent projects include an investigation of the impact of coeliac disease on quality of life, and the development of a patient-reported outcome measure to assess this impact. Researchers within the unit are currently collaborating with researchers in the Health Economics Research Centre (HERC) to investigate the availability and cost of gluten-free foods and their impact on coeliac disease.
