Medical Sciences Division.

The Nuffield Department of Population Health conducts world-leading research into the causes, prevention and treatment of diseases worldwide. The department is part of the University of Oxford’s Medical Sciences Division and is situated on the Old Road Campus in Headington.  Studies involve large numbers of people from many countries around the world and help to improve understanding of various conditions including heart disease, cancer, dementia, diabetes and COVID-19.

We are offering the following work experience opportunity in 2022.

Epidemiological laboratory 24-28 october 2022

This placement will offer students an insight into methods used for measurement of biomarkers in samples collected for our epidemiological studies.  Students will gain experience in our automated clinical chemistry laboratory and our specialist assay laboratory where ELISA and NMR methods are being developed.
Applicants must be aged 16 years or over on the first day of the placement.
