Oxford Population Health conducts world-leading research into the causes, prevention and treatment of diseases worldwide. The department is part of the University of Oxford’s Medical Sciences Division and is situated on the Old Road Campus in Headington. Studies involve large numbers of people from many countries around the world and help to improve understanding of various conditions including heart disease, cancer, dementia, diabetes, and COVID-19.

Each year we offer students an opportunity to shadow groups working on different population health projects and gain an insight into various roles, such as epidemiologist, researcher, research assistant, health economist and communications officer.
