Clare joined the Cancer Epidemiology Unit in March 2016. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Hertfordshire, and an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Her research is based on the Million Women Study cohort, and she has many years’ experience working with linked hospital records data. Before joining the unit, Clare worked on many and varied projects using linked hospital records from both the Oxford region and from the whole of England. Recent research includes fracture risk in women who have taken hormone therapy and adverse effects of oral bisphosphonate. Clare has published on a range of topics including cancer, autoimmune disease, psychiatric conditions, and circulatory diseases.
