Sadman Islam

Senior Public & Patient Involvement & Engagement Officer

Sadman Islam is the Senior Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Officer in Oxford Population Health. He is responsible for overseeing the department's PPIE activities, supporting researchers to incorporate PPIE into their work, and also supporting the research groups and the department to deliver a range of public engagement activities and associated communications. 

Sadman Islam holds a BSc in Cognitive & Clinical Neuroscience from the University of Westminster and an MSc in Neuroscience and Translational Medicine from Queen Mary, University of London. Before joining Oxford Population Health, Sadman was a health policy researcher at Cancer Research UK where he developed evidence to inform the Government’s obesity legislation. In 2022, he published a report on young people’s perceptions of how food marketing and wider environmental pressures influence their ability to stay healthy.
