Judith Cole

MSc, PhD

Systematic Reviewer

Judith joined the EPOC group in Oxford in May 2022 and is working on two Cochrane reviews of health system interventions. She achieved a Masters degree in Public Health in 2009 and a PhD in 2012, both from Queen’s University Belfast. Her PhD and much of her post-doctoral work have focused on lifestyle interventions among older people with heart disease, using qualitative and quantitative methods in a variety of settings within primary and secondary care.

Trials she has worked on include Share-D, which was supported by a grant from the Chest, Heart and Stroke Association (Northern Ireland), and involved designing and testing the feasibility of a shared decision-making tool to help improve physical activity and diet among patients recruited through general practices, with the ultimate aim being the secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease; and PolyPrime, a recently completed pilot cluster randomised controlled trial which aimed to improve appropriate polypharmacy among older people in primary care.
