HDR UK Early Career Research Fellow

Danyao joined the Clinical Trial Service Unit and Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) in Oct 2020. Her DPhil research focused on metabolomics and coronary heart disease risk using data from the UK Biobank.

In Nov 2023, Danyao completed her PhD, and started to work for HDR UK project as a postdoc researcher at CTSU and visiting researcher at Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit (CEU), University of Cambridge. She’ll be working on the Mexico City Prospective Study and conducting various OmicsPred related analyses including the development and application of new genetic scores as well as transferability analyses in admixed ancestry population.

Danyao holds a Master of Science degree in epidemiology at Harvard University and a Bachelor of Medicine degree at Peking University. Prior to joining the department, she worked as a research assistant at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre.
