Aneil Jaswal
BSc, MSc
DPhil Student
Aneil's DPhil work investigates wealth-related inequality in the use of health services in low- and middle-income countries. Levels and determinants of inequality across types of health services (including maternal health care, and treatment of non-communicable diseases) are compared. His research provides lessons for planning and monitoring universal health coverage expansion. He is supported by both the Rhodes and Clarendon scholarships.
Aneil has an MSc in Global Health Science from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Global Resource Systems from the University of British Columbia. He has taught on the MSc in Global Health, and for the global health program in the medical school. In his spare time, Aneil loves to cook, and has played for the Oxford University Blues basketball team, and rowed for his college.
