I am a perinatal epidemiologist and tenured research director with at the Obstetrical, Perinatal and Pediatric Epidemiology Research Team, CRESS (Centre for Research in Epidemiology and StatisticS) at INSERM, the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research, and the University of Paris-Cité in Paris. My research focuses on assessing the impact of the organization and quality of care on the health and development of babies born very preterm before 32 weeks of gestational age using multi-national prospective cohort studies. I also coordinate the Euro-Peristat project, an EU initiative to develop maternal and infant health indicators that can be used for monitoring health on the national and European level. Euro-Peristat brings together partners from 31 countries to investigate differences in perinatal health outcomes and care across countries and over time.  My third research interest is the management and consequences of fetal growth restriction for preterm and term births. I also hold an Adjunct Professor position with the Department of Population Health Science and Policy at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.
