Diego Aguilar Ramirez

Early Career Research Fellow
Diego is an Early Career Research Fellow at the Mexico City Prospective Study group, within the Clinical Trial Service Unit and Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU). His research focuses on investigating the metabolic profiles of obesity, diabetes, kidney disease, and heart disease in the Mexican population, using observational and genetic epidemiology methods.
Diego holds a medical degree from Universidad Panamericana (2015) and a PGCert in Public Policy Evaluation from Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo Económico (2016) both in Mexico City. He obtained an MSc in Global Health Science in 2018 and completed his DPhil in Population Health in 2021, both at the University of Oxford.
Besides research, Diego has teaching experience with medical and research students both in Mexico and in the UK.
