Muram El-Nayir
Clinical Research Fellow
Muram is a cardiology registrar undergoing higher specialty training at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, with a subspecialty interest in complex devices. She completed her core medical training in East Sussex in 2018, during which she attained her membership of the Royal College of Physicians qualification. Muram is the British Junior Cardiologists’ Association trainee representative for Oxford Deanery and organises the cardiology registrar training days for the deanery. She is also an advanced life support instructor.
Muram joined the Heart Studies Group at the Clinical Trials Service Unit in October 2022. She is completing a higher degree during her time here as a Clinical Research Fellow and working on the ASCEND PLUS trial – a randomised controlled trial assessing the effectiveness of oral semaglutide for the primary prevention of cardiovascular events in people with type 2 diabetes.
