Deputy Laboratory Manager
Karen joined the Wolfson Laboratories in 2014 as a deputy laboratory manager responsible for the day to day operations in the clinical chemistry section of the laboratories. She provides assistance to the Senior Laboratory Manager in the line management support of staff in this area and technical expertise and guidance to support large scale clinical trials and smaller studies to comply with the laboratories' UKAS accreditation (ISO 17025:2017; No. 2799) standards.
Karen has 24 years’ experience working as a biomedical scientist in the Clinical Chemistry Department at the John Radcliffe Hospital particularly focusing on HPLC and Tandem Mass Spectrometry used to aid in the diagnosis of Pheochromocytoma, Neuroblastoma and inborn errors of metabolism.
