Information for the public
The Post Colonoscopy Colorectal Cancer Audit project (PCCRC) is funded by Bowel Cancer UK (BCUK), the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity.
BCUK is determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Further information about the charity and the support they offer to people with bowel cancer is available on the Bowel Cancer UK website.
Find out more about variation in post-colonoscopy colorectal cancer across colonoscopy providers in English NHS in this paper published in the BMJ in November 2019.
What should I do if I do not want my data to be included in this study?
This project makes use of administrative NHS data to identify PCCRCs amongst all bowel cancers identified within the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service (NCRAS) dataset. If you do not want your data to be held in NCRAS or used in this way then you can ask for it to be deleted. Details on how to do that are available on the National Disease Registration Service website.
