Alyssa is an infectious diseases physician currently based in Adelaide, Australia. Her DPhil is supervised by Professor Joris Hemelaar (IDEU) and Dr Kate Fitzpatrick (NPEU), as well as Dr Kelly Hosking from the Menzies School of Health Research, Darwin, Australia. The DPhil will examine maternal and neonatal outcomes in mothers living with HIV and hepatitis B infection receiving antiretroviral therapy in pregnancy.

Alyssa has an interest in maternal health and has previously completed the Diploma of the Royal Australasian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, prior to undertaking infectious diseases training.

She completed the Master of Global Health Science at Oxford Population Health in 2015 and holds a Master of Public Policy through the Blavatnik School of Government.
