Having started my nursing career on an interventional cardiology ward in Bristol, I then went on to work on a medical cardiology ward, stroke admissions ward and the chest pain unit. My links with CTSU started when I applied to work as a nurse for the research unit when they wanted to start the THRIVE study.
I worked for about 10 years in the research unit in Bristol on the THRIVE and REVEAL studies, as well as some commercial and other academic studies with Bristol University. During this time I also worked a couple of days a week as a remote monitor for THRIVE and REVEAL which I enjoyed. This led me to apply for the job here at CTSU, where I am currently a Nurse Monitor for the ORION-4 study.
