NIHR Research Support Service Hub delivered by the University of Southampton and partners

EPH is part of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Research Support Service Hub delivered by the University of Southampton and partners. The hub provides researchers nationally with free access to support, advice and expertise in all areas of applied health and care research

The hub, hosted by the University of Southampton, is one of eight NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) hubs. Researchers, especially those applying for NIHR funding, are able to seek advice and assistance on topics including study development, design and methods; delivery; patient and public involvement; and approaches to addressing research inclusion.

The hub is a collaboration between 15 units in four universities (Oxford, Oxford Brookes, Portsmouth and Southampton), including the Economics of Population Health Research Centre in Oxford Population Health, and four local authorities (Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Portsmouth and Southampton).

NIHR HealthTech Research Centre – Community Healthcare

We also contribute to the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre (HRC) – Community Healthcare which is one of 14 centres of excellence established by the NIHR to accelerate the development and implementation of innovative health technologies across England.

The centre brings together world-class expertise from academia, industry, and the NHS to support healthtech companies at all stages – from early ideas to market-ready solutions – focusing on diagnostics, digital health technology, and medical devices for community healthcare settings.
