Natasha Sahgal

Programme Manager – Health Data Science
Natasha joined the team as Programme Manager – Health Data Science, and coordinates a portfolio of projects across the NIHR Oxford BRC Translational Data Science Theme, Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) Oxford and Transforming Data for Trials programmes. From May 2025, she also joined the Oxford-Novartis Collaboration for AI in Medicine team as a Project Manager.
Prior to joining the BDI, Natasha worked at Imperial College London’s Enterprise Office, where she worked with the NHS staff to translate potential projects into commercial opportunities.
Her post-doctoral work focused on transcriptomic analyses across a wide range of functional genomic projects including expression data, RNA-sequencing and whole genome sequencing data with an emphasis on cancer genetics and the UK Biobank cohort.
She is passionate about data science, healthcare and innovation, enjoys travelling and wishes to learn more languages apart from improving her German.
