DPhil Student

Marek joined Big Data Institute as a DPhil Student in Population Health under a departmental scholarship in 2025. He is working with Professor Bartek Papież and Professor Manisha Nair to develop novel machine learning models for processing of multimodal irregularly sampled data and apply them to predict clinical outcomes based on focus cardiac ultrasound data.

Prior to his DPhil, Marek worked as a software development engineer at Amazon Web Services. He studied MSci in Computer Science at King’s College London and MSc in Advanced Computer Science at the University of Oxford.
