Eleanor Challenger

Eleanor Challenger is Assistant Director of Operations at the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH), University of Oxford joining in August 25. She leads the strategic and operational delivery of the department’s HR, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI), training, and graduate studies functions.

Eleanor has extensive experience in Higher Education most recently as Head of Business Operations at Kings’ Business School where she oversaw research centres, strategic projects and core business functions. Her earlier career includes management, research and operational roles at Imperial College London, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and University College London.

Experience spans strategic planning, governance, HR, research project management, finance, and organisational transformation across both research and teaching programmes. She is passionate about delivering high-quality professional services and fostering inclusive, and collaborative environments where both academic and professional staff are empowered to thrive.

Eleanor holds an MSc in International Child Health, University College London, with a specialist stream in Global Disability, alongside professional qualifications in project and change management (Prince 2, Prosci) and Leadership and Management (CMI).
