Nikita Agrawal

Clinical Research Fellow

Nikita Agrawal joined the Renal Studies Group as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Clinical Trial Service Unit & Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU), University of Oxford, in 2023. She is a practising clinician and clinical trialist, coordinating the delivery of large-scale international randomised controlled trials in nephrology, including EMPA-KIDNEY and the EASi-KIDNEY trial.

Alongside her clinical trial work, she is undertaking a Doctor of Medicine (DM) degree at the University of Oxford, affiliated with Green Templeton College. Her research focuses on the long-term outcomes of major renal trials, including EMPA-KIDNEY and 3C (Campath, calcineurin inhibitor reduction, and chronic allograft nephropathy trial). Her work is supervised by Dr Parminder Judge, Professor Will Herrington, and Professor Richard Haynes.

Nikita completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Cambridge (Gonville & Caius College). She completed her specialty training in Renal and General Internal Medicine in North London, in 2023. During this time, she trained in tertiary renal centres, including the Royal Free and Royal London Hospitals, where she developed her sub-specialty interests in renal transplantation and clinical trials, which she continues to pursue here.
