Lulu Phillips

Communications Officer

Lulu supports the Director of Communications and Public Engagement with managing media outreach and enquiries for the department.

She writes press releases and news items on trial results and research papers produced by the department, and works with the university’s Public Affairs Directorate and the Science Media Centre to engage with both national and international media outlets to raise the profile of the department’s research.

Lulu also works closely with the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit (NPEU) on the MBRRACE-UK collaboration and is the communications team business partner for the Health Economics Research Centre.

Prior to joining Oxford Population Health, she was communications lead for a number of space and climate-related projects around the world. Lulu's background is in scientific journals publishing and she has worked across a range of different research areas, including health sciences.
