Dinnah Rippon

Co-ordinator of Global Health Bioethics Network

Dina is coordinating the development of the Wellcome Trust-supported International Research Network on the Ethics of Collaborative Global Health Research. She is keen to hear from others engaged in the field of research ethics. If you would like to join the Network or learn more about this initiative (or have other questions relating to the global health ethics work at the Ethox Centre) do get in touch with her.

The International Research Network, which is a joint initiative of the Ethox Centre in Oxford and the Wellcome-KEMRI Unit in Kilifi, Kenya, aims to build ethics expertise and capacity both in the United Kingdom and in developing countries – with a particular emphasis on building capacity at the Wellcome Trust’s Major Overseas Programme sites.

The Network aims to support knowledge-sharing and communication amongst those interested in the ethical issues surrounding global health research; collaborate in research activities that develop capacity in global health research; and encourage local research initiatives in developing country sites.
