Alison is a DPhil student in Population Health within the Cancer Epidemiology Unit. Her DPhil focuses on the role of biochemical, molecular, and lifestyle factors in the development of cancer, and the mechanisms involved. The project centres on several large-scale prospective cohorts and international genetics consortia. She is supported by the Oxford Population Health Scholarship.
Prior to commencing her doctoral studies, Alison earned a Master of Public Health from Imperial College London, received a BA from the University of Toronto, and gained several years of work experience in health economics, evidence synthesis, and clinical trial research with a focus on cancer and rare diseases.
