Hip replacement surgery is highly successful, but prostheses have a finite lifespan and some fail early, requiring revision surgery. People who undergo revision surgery typically have poorer outcomes than those receiving primary hip replacement. Despite this, there are no specific guidelines for rehabilitation after revision surgery, and physiotherapy provision varies widely.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of conducting a multicentre trial to test the clinical and cost‑effectiveness of a tailored physiotherapy intervention after revision hip replacement surgery, and to assess the acceptability of the intervention to patients and clinicians.
