Oksana Kirichek joined the Cancer Epidemiology Unit as a statistician in 2009. She works on retrieval, synthesis and analysis of clinical and epidemiological information from the large health data sources. These include data from the Million Women Study and the UK Biobank cohorts, Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD), and England’s Hospital Episode Statistics (HES). She has a particular interest in the challenges of big data mining and analytics involved in utilising electronic health records for epidemiological research.
Prior to this post, Oksana worked as a data manager for multiple in-house and commercial clinical trials in Oxford University Medical Unit, and was also responsible for managing the Breast Cancer Clinical Research Database.
