Matthew joined HERC as a Researcher in April 2017 following his PhD at Newcastle University. Prior to this, Matthew completed an MSc in Health Economics and BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Essex.
Matthew is currently working on the economic evaluation of the Arterial Revascularisation Trial (ART) and the All Adenomas Study (AA). The ART study is the largest randomised comparison of the use of single and bilateral internal thoracic arteries during coronary artery bypass graft surgery with patients being followed for up to 10 years after surgery. While the AA study will provide evidence to support an update of the guidelines for monitoring people with any type of bowel polyp.
