Lhuri Rahmartani

DPhil Student

Lhuri is a Jardine Scholar who joined NPEU in October 2018 as a DPhil student under the supervision of Professor Maria Quigley and Dr Claire Carson. Her research project will be looking at infant feeding practice in Indonesia.

Maternal and child health was the area of her previous work with the Ministry of Health, health professional organisations, as well as UN Bodies including WHO and UNFPA. Her motherhood experience has added another reason she continues to focus in this research area.

Prior to her DPhil study, she mainly worked as a lecturer in the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia, and spared some time to do non-profit clinical practice. She was also actively engaged in the community empowerment to educate women on various aspects of parenting and family health. Her academic qualifications include Medical Doctor and Master of Epidemiology from Universitas Indonesia and Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Melbourne.
