Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Officer

Leandros is the Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Officer in Oxford Population Health. He is responsible for ensuring that people have their voices heard in all aspects of the department’s research and embedding a culture of engagement in the department by supporting OxPop researchers to identify appropriate involvement ‘moments’ within the research cycle and feel confident and empowered to share their work with the public. 

Leandros holds a BSc in Biochemistry & Biotechnology from the University of Thessaly and an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London. Before joining Oxford Population Health, Leandros supported the organisation of Science Festivals in Greece, worked for the Edinburgh Science Festival and coordinated the communications and dissemination plans for EU-funded projects.
