Research Facilitator - Data Linkage
I liaise between external data providers and the UK Biobank team - mainly the data analysts in Oxford - to ensure that health data about UK Biobank participants is updated appropriately. This involves making sure that contracts and agreements are updated or renewed when necessary, and checking and recording that data arrives as expected. For over six years I have worked for the University either in the Medical Sciences Division or in Research Services, supporting work in this Division. Previous roles dealt with vaccines and human tissue governance.
In the late twentieth century I worked as a computing trainer for the Gates Foundation, never expecting to move into public health at that time.
