Clinical Trial Manager

Anna is a clinical trial manager for the BASE study, a trial which is researching whether or not to routinely give sodium bicarbonate when a very preterm baby has a condition called metabolic acidosis. The BASE trial is currently in the early stages of set-up.

She also works for the Cancer Epidemiology Unit (CEU) and the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit (NPEU), having moved from Bristol where I was a deputy trial manager for Bristol Trials Centre.

Anna's passion for research stems from her psychology BSc degree focussed on clinical psychology. She achieved first class honours. Anna has experience in coordinating large, multi-centre RCTs, including CTIMP and surgical trials.
