Aislinn joined the Health Economics Research Centre (HERC) in 2021 as a part-time DPhil student working with Dr Koen Pouwels, Dr Catrin Moore and Professor Ben Cooper. Her work will focus on modelling global antibiotic use and antibiotic resistance with the aim of developing a set of tools that can inform national antibiotic prescribing targets based on clinical infection burden.
Alongside her DPhil, Aislinn is a Research Fellow at St. George’s University of London working in the Paediatric Infectious Diseases Research Group. Her work focuses on the presentation, treatment and outcomes of neonatal sepsis, paediatric antimicrobial use and paediatric bloodstream infections. Her interests lie in the use of antibiotic resistance data and clinical data to inform and optimise empiric prescribing guidelines.
Aislinn received her MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and her BSc in Biology and Public Health from Tufts University in Boston, USA.
