The Department is committed to keeping in touch with its alumni and is developing an engaged, active and growing alumni community.

NDPH Alumni Policy

We aim to provide a forum to update alumni of the department’s research highlights; to offer career development events designed for health research graduates and to invite alumni back to the department to inspire our current ambitious students. This is in addition to membership benefits of the University of Oxford Alumni.

Who is it for?

The NDPH alumni community is open to graduates from the:

  • MSc Global Health Science
  • DPhil in Public Health
  • DPhil in Population Health
  • MRes Public Health

What does it do?

The Department aims to produce biannual alumni newsletters and at least one main event each year for alumni members. We have plans to develop Career Development Days to which we will invite alumni to speak to our students about their careers since graduating, and provide a forum for networking.

What doesn’t it do?

The Department will not contact its alumni members to ask for donations or to raise funds.

How do I get involved?

If you would like to let your fellow alumni know where you are; showcase your achievements on the department’s website or offer to give a talk to our students please contact either the Graduate Studies Office or one of our Directors of Graduate Studies, Sasha Shepperd (DPhil) or Sarah Lewington (MSc). We’d love to hear from you.
