HEcoPerMed (Health Economic Models for Personalised Medicine) is an EU‑funded project that ran from January 2019 to the end of June 2022. The project responded to the demand for economic models that evaluate personalised medicine treatments. HEcoPerMed also aimed to identify funding and reimbursement mechanisms that provide financial incentives for the rapid development and uptake of personalised medicine.

Work package three of the project was led by the University of Oxford and focused on financing and payment models that stimulate the integration of personalised medicine across different sectors.

The outputs of the project include a Special Issue published in the Journal of Personalized Medicine, a Position Paper on the lessons learned from the project and future opportunities for personalised medicine, as well as highly cited guidance for the economic evaluation of personalised medicine and a review outlining financing and reimbursement models for personalised medicine.
