Plain language summary - The aim of this work is to use CORECT-R to understand more about frailty and bowel cancer treatment. Frailty describes an older person's resilience and how likely they are to recover from ill-health. Various tools are used in the NHS to assess frailty and decide whether a person is suitable for surgery and other treatments. This work will look at the different ways of assessing frailty in routine NHS data and evaluate whether they can predict treatment outcome for bowel cancer patients and therefore inform treatment choices.
