A comparison of colorectal cancer management and outcome in Denmark and Yorkshire
Project reference number – 0044
Principal Investigator – John Taylor
Plain language summary - The number of patients surviving after a bowel cancer diagnosis has improved over recent decades in many European countries. However, Denmark has seen greater improvement than the UK. Denmark put in place special measures and investigating the difference this has made will be very helpful, as a similar study is now taking place in the Yorkshire and Humber region. By comparing the patients, treatment, management and outcome of patients in Denmark and Yorkshire over the last decade or so, we hope to identify key aspects which help to improve outcomes for patients.
