Head of IT Operations
Ayman joined the department in January 2020 as Head of IT Operations and he is accountable for the IT Service delivery in the department and managing the IT infrastructure and end user services teams.
He has over 22 years’ experience in IT service management in higher education in the UK with strong emphasis on implementing the ITIL Best Practice framework and project management methodologies of PRINCE 2 and Agile Digital Services.
Prior to embarking on a career in IT, Ayman graduated with a BSc and completed an MSc in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Change Management and worked on scientific research into thermal shrinkage in reinforced concrete for several years.
In his spare time, Ayman enjoys cycling and travel to explore cultures and foods across the world.
