Post Doctoral Health Data Scientist
I am a postdoctoral health data scientist at the Big Data Institute (BDI) in the Nuffield Department of Population Health. My research addresses questions related to schistosomiasis, an important neglected tropical disease.
As a member of the Big Data and Helminth Epidemiology Group, I work on the SchistoTrack project which is a large-scale study in rural Uganda that looks into the determinants of schistosomiasis-related morbidities and also transmission. I am exploring the link between current schistosome infection and associated morbidity risks.
I completed my PhD at the Warwick Centre for Global Health, University of Warwick. My doctoral research involved the application of advanced analytical techniques to explore progress towards universal health coverage goals for essential health service in low- and middle-income countries.
In my spare time, I enjoy listening to gospel music, playing guitar and gangan (a talking drum).
