Claire joined the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit in the Oxford Population Health department as a DPhil student and Clarendon Scholar in 2021 under the supervision of Associate Professor Claire Carson, Professor Maria Quigley and Associate Professor Clare Bankhead (Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences). She is exploring ethnic inequities in infants' and young children's use of preventive care and potentially avoidable healthcare in England through quantitative analysis of linked electronic health records.

Claire has broad interests in public health, global health and health systems, particularly in evidence generation and knowledge translation to reduce health inequalities. Alongside her studies, Claire works as a Consultant for the World Health Organization in the Health and Migration Programme, and with the UNICEF Office of Research - Innocenti on child health & global health research. Claire is a Trustee for Art Refuge, an international charity that supports the mental health and wellbeing of forcibly displaced people through arts-based approaches. She is an honorary researcher in public health data science at the University College London (UCL) Institute of Health Informatics.

Before joining Oxford Population Health, Claire completed a MSc in Population Health at UCL as a Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholar. She has worked in a number of policy, analysis, evaluation and programme management roles in Public Health England, the UK Department of Health and Social Care and the NHS. Claire's clinical background is in paediatric speech and language therapy. She worked in hospitals and community health services in the UK and Australia before transitioning into public health.
