Anna Gilbert
Clinical Trial Manager
I am a clinical trial manager for the BASE study, a trial which is researching whether or not to routinely give sodium bicarbonate when a very preterm baby has a condition called metabolic acidosis. The BASE trial is currently in the early stages of set-up. I have recently started working for NPEU CTU, having moved from Bristol where I was a deputy trial manager for Bristol Trials Centre.
My passion for research stems from my psychology BSc degree. I achieved first class honours, with a main focus on clinical psychology. Since then, I have developed experience in coordinating large, multi-centre RCTs, including CTIMP and surgical trials.
