Sarah Tipper joined the Cancer Epidemiology Unit in 2000. She has a degree in Psychology from the University of Reading, and a master’s degree in Health Psychology from Coventry University. Sarah is responsible for the day-to-day care of biological samples held by the Million Women Study, the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC) Oxford cohort study, and the Guernsey cohort study. Sarah processes blood samples for storage, maintains sample records, retrieves samples for analysis, ships samples to collaborators, and carries out immunoassays. She is also responsible for the training and supervision of laboratory staff.
She also leads a not-so-secret double life as a writer of frivolous novels.
