In this talk Professor Devakumar will explore the relationship between racism, xenophobia, discrimination and health. He will provide a broad overview of the topic from a global perspective, including the roots and pathways by which racism and xenophobia lead to health outcomes and potential interventions. 

Delan Devakumar is a Professor of Global Child Health in University College London and an honorary consultant in Public Health. Delan was lead for the Lancet Series on ‘racism, xenophobia, discrimination and health’ and is director and founder of Race & Health. He was a commissioner and steering group member of the UCL-Lancet Commission on Migration and Health.
